Infinity by Rachel Daley will make it’s debut in Toledo. The play amplifies voices of those with unhoused experience. The updated play was originally presented in Boston in 2008. Seven interludes reflect the lived experience of the unhoused and service providers in Toledo.
Daley credits Henry with the shows main theme. Henry used the infinity symbol to characterize his experience with addiction and homelessness. He said, “you would get out, and you’d just get pulled back in.” Inspired by this comment, Rachel uses the infinity image as the core of the play. A whole host of collaborators have come together to make this piece a reality: Cherry Street Mission, Street Art Mission, Toledo-Lucas County Library, Islamic Food Bank, 211, Toledo Homelessness Board, and the inaugural Greater Toledo Community Foundation’s Art & Culture grant.
